The National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR) is a network of autonomous institutions in India that provide training to teachers and staff at degree and diploma level training institutions:
- Purpose: The NITTTR was established to improve the quality of technical education in India.
- Locations: There are NITTTRs in Kolkata, Chennai, Bhopal, and Chandigarh.
- History: The first NITTTR was established in Kolkata in 1965.
- Training: The NITTTRs offer pre- and in-service training, as well as short-term and long-term programs.
- Areas of expertise: The NITTTRs have expertise in areas such as subject matter development, classroom and laboratory based learning, and industry institute internship.
- Programs: The NITTTRs offer a variety of programs, including Ph.D. in different areas of Technical Education, M. Tech. (Ed.), and Induction Training Programmes for newly recruited teachers

RECRUITMENT EXAM INSTRUCTION:
· For Group-B posts, Written test will be conducted for the candidates.
· The details of Written test/Interview for Group-A posts and details of Written Test for Group-B posts will be posted in the Institute’s website.
· Requests for the change of the date and venue of Written test/Interview for Group-A posts and date of Written Test for Group-B posts will not be entertained.
· No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates for attending the Test/Interview for Group-A posts & Written Test for Group-B posts.
· In cases, where more than one candidate secures the equal aggregate marks in the written exam, tie will be resolved by applying the following methods, one after another, till the tie is resolved:
· Date of birth i.e. the candidate older in age gets preference.
· Alphabetical order of the first name shall be given second preference.
Application Fee:
· General/EWS/OBC: Rs. 500/- (to paid online).
· SC/ST/Female/PwD/Ex-Servicemen/Internal Candidates: Exempted (No Fee).
